Sturdy describes the difference between traditional frames and floater frames. This popular option creates the effect of a painting floating within the frame, which some customers prefer when reframing a work of art or picture.
The large painting shown is “Quilt Face at a Party” by Mia Cross.
Ryan describes how floater frames can be the solution for when you want a simple, casual or minimalist look, or are limited in space but don’t want the unfinished look of hanging a painting without a frame.
