The Artist: Susan Kelley
Susan Kelley of Franklin, MA works in oil, pastel and charcoal. Her subjects include seascapes, areas of New England, people and animals.
Beyond college, Kelley furthered her art education by spending six years studying with both David Curtis and Robert Cormier of the Boston School and attending workshops with various professional painters. A member of two of the oldest art groups in the country, the Rockport and North Shore Art Associations, along with the Academic Artists and many local art groups, Kelley has also been elected to serve on various art juries. She has served on the board of the Rockport Art Association as chair of education and on the Art Advisory Board at Massasoit College.
Kelley teaches classes in outdoor landscape, still life, and portraiture and conducts workshops privately in the Rockport/Gloucester area and through the JCC Fine Arts Department in Newton.
